Honda GX200 & GX390 Pull Start Assemblies

Replace a worn, damaged, or broken recoil starter with the correct pull start assembly for your Honda engine.

We carry pull start assemblies for both the Honda GX200 (196cc) and Honda GX390 (389cc) engines. Please note that these assemblies are not interchangeable. The GX390 pull start assembly has a larger overall diameter than the GX200 assembly and is designed specifically to fit the larger engine.

Whether your existing starter rope has failed, the recoil mechanism is no longer functioning properly, or the complete assembly needs replacement, these units provide a straightforward way to restore reliable manual starting.
