Pressure Washing and Soft Wash Truck Skid Setup- The Workhorse

The Workhorse is a professional-grade aluminum pressure washing and soft wash skid, built by hand in Oregon City, Oregon, and backed by a lifetime frame warranty. Pick your deck length, set it in your truck, and you're running a Honda-powered 8 GPM rig with a complete soft wash system the same day.

We ran our own washing rigs for over a decade before we started building them for other companies. Every decision on this skid — the 1/4 inch aluminum, the 316 stainless hardware, the way the soft wash system is plumbed — comes from years of learning the hard way what holds up and what doesn't.

Could we build it cheaper? Sure. Thinner material, fewer supports. We won't. The side shelves alone are gusseted to carry the weight of a mounted pressure washer. This is the toughest skid we know how to make, and it's working right now in 24 states, Canada, and overseas.

The Frame

• ✓  Heavy-duty reinforced aluminum skid in 6.5 ft or 8 ft, built from 1/4 inch plate with extra gussets throughout
• ✓  Integrated ladder rack and two reinforced side shelves rated to hold mounted machines
• ✓  Every nut, bolt, and washer is stainless steel — and we're now moving from 304 to 316 stainless for even better long-term corrosion resistance

Power

• ✓  Honda GX690 belt drive pressure washer, electric start, 8 GPM (gear drive available)
• ✓  Heavy-duty EPW multi-port aluminum slim fuel tank with rollover valve
• ✓  Marine-grade Interstate battery built for daily recharging, secured in our EPW aluminum toolbox with battery mounts
• ✓  Upgraded double-insulated 6 AWG USA-made wiring on the pressure washer

Water & Chemical Tanks

• ✓  Two slim 100-gallon tanks — 100 gallons water, 100 gallons bleach — with extra-thick walls and access lids on both sides
• ✓  Recessed tank bottoms allow flush, protected plumbing
• ✓  Hudson float valve assembly shuts the water off automatically when the tank is full
• ✓  1-inch buffer tank drain with Tiger Flex hose and ball valve — drains the tanks, fills buckets, and doubles as an emergency wash station
• ✓  Buffer tank plumbing with crush-proof Tiger Flex suction hose, strainer filter system, banjo fittings, and stainless clamps

The Soft Wash System

• ✓  Remco dual control 12-volt soft wash pump — 5.3 GPM, 100 PSI, USA made, with Viton seals built for chemical use. The higher flow and pressure reach steep peaks and shoot farther, and we dial in every pressure switch before it leaves the shop
• ✓  Our own Pro Mixer XL soft wash mixing system with proportional metering valves for higher flow and less stress on your pump. We upgrade the water and bleach valves to 3/4 inch at no charge — less restriction, better distance on roof cleaning
• ✓  200 ft of Fierce Jet 1/2 inch soft wash hose with crimped 1/2 NPT fittings
• ✓  3-way bleach rinse valve with mounts, barbs, and stainless clamps to fully rinse the system and extend pump life
• ✓  ST-510 soft wash gun with stainless couplers
• ✓  Stainless steel 4-nozzle J-rod, with nozzles matched and dialed to our dual control pump
• ✓  Kuri Tec poly braid hose on all soft wash plumbing — how a system is plumbed makes or breaks its performance, and this is one place we never cut corners
• ✓  Upgraded 10 AWG USA-made wiring, fuse links, and quality fuses

Hose Reels

• ✓  Three manual full-frame aluminum reels with stainless steel manifolds
• ✓  8 ft Workhorse: two 18-inch reels and one 12-inch reel
• ✓  6.5 ft Workhorse: three 12-inch reels
