How much does a 200 gallon water tank weigh when full?
Water weighs about 8.34 lb per gallon, so 200 gallons is roughly 1,670 lb — about 1,765 lb total with the tank. That's more than the remaining payload of many half-ton pickups once your equipment is loaded, so check your vehicle's payload rating carefully. Many detailers run a tank this size on a 3/4-ton or larger truck, or on a trailer. Always strap it down securely before driving.
Will this tank fit in my truck bed or trailer?
With a 48" x 30" base, it fits in most full-size pickup beds and on utility trailers. At 38" tall, it won't fit under a tonneau cover or most camper shells. Measure your space before ordering to be sure.
Should I get the 60, 90, or 200 gallon tank?
It depends on how many vehicles you wash per fill, your wash method, your flow rate, and your vehicle's payload.
