What ClenzO2 Is

ClenzO2 is an oxygen-based exterior cleaner and restorer. The active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide (under 8% by weight), and every gallon ships with its own activator. You mix the two, apply, and let the chemistry work: the peroxide oxidizes mold, mildew, algae and organic staining, then breaks down into water and oxygen. There is no sodium hypochlorite, no ammonia, no acids, no phosphates and no dyes in the jug, and the safety data sheet lists it at zero VOC.

ClenzO2 is listed in the EPA Safer Choice program under the Clenz-O2 name, and its SDS states it meets Safer Choice criteria for direct release — the standard for products marketed for outdoor use that will end up on soil, in storm drains or over water. That is why contractors reach for it on docks, seawalls and lakefront property where a bleach mix is not an option.

Where We'd Use It — and Where We Wouldn't

We washed for ten years before we started building equipment, so we'll be straight with you: ClenzO2 is not a drop-in replacement for bleach on every job. Sodium hypochlorite is still faster on a heavily infested roof or a commercial concrete pad. ClenzO2 earns its place on the jobs where bleach is the wrong tool:

  • Wood — cedar fences and siding, decks, log homes, docks and shake roofs, where bleach greys the fibers and raises the grain
  • Painted and stained surfaces where a hypochlorite mix can blotch or lift color
  • Roofs where the homeowner wants a bleach-free soft wash, including asphalt shingle and tile
  • Anything near water — docks, boathouses, bulkheads, pool surrounds, properties on a lake or slough
  • Delicate landscaping — jobs where you would otherwise spend half your time pre-wetting and covering plants
  • Masonry and stucco — concrete walkways, brick, block and stucco that are organically stained rather than oil-stained
  • Enclosed spaces — crawl spaces, attics and outbuildings where you don't want chlorine fumes

Customers ask for bleach-free more every year. Having ClenzO2 on the truck lets you say yes instead of walking away from the job.

How to Use ClenzO2

  1. Mix. Add the included activator to the gallon per the label and blend thoroughly. Use the mixed solution the same day — it stays active for roughly 15 hours once activated. For light soiling it can be cut up to 50% with water; use it full strength on heavy growth.
  2. Apply. A pump-up sprayer works for small areas. For roofs, whole fences and production work, run it through a dedicated soft wash system — we build the ClenzO2 Spray Pod and the ClenzO2 Max roof cleaning skid specifically for it. Keep the surface temperature in the roughly 40–100°F range.
  3. Let it work. The solution foams as it reacts with organic matter. Under normal use there is nothing to rinse — the reaction finishes and the rain carries the residue away. On heavy staining a light rinse speeds up the result.
  4. Expect it to keep working. Wood in particular continues to brighten for days after application, so judge the result after the surface has fully dried, not while it is wet.

Test an inconspicuous spot first, as with any cleaner, and don't mix ClenzO2 with bleach or other chemicals. For the full surface-by-surface walkthrough — decks, roofs, concrete, docks — read How to Use ClenzO2.

Common questions

Is ClenzO2 the same as Clenz O2 or Clenz 02?

Yes. ClenzO2 is one product; you will see it spelled ClenzO2, Clenz O2, Clenz 02 and CleanzO2. This is the genuine product, stocked and shipped by Expert Power Wash.

Does ClenzO2 come with an activator?

Yes. Every gallon includes its activator. Mix the two before use and plan to use the batch the same day.

Is ClenzO2 a bleach replacement?

No — and we don't sell it as one. It is a bleach-free alternative for the jobs where sodium hypochlorite can't be used: wood, painted surfaces, work over water, and customers who ask for no bleach. For a standard house wash or a badly infested roof, bleach is still the faster tool.

What is ClenzO2 used for?

Contractors use it as a bleach alternative on wood decks and fences, asphalt and tile roofs, painted siding, concrete, docks and any job where the customer does not want sodium hypochlorite near plants, pets or finishes. It is oxygen-based (hydrogen peroxide) and breaks down to water and oxygen.

Do I need to rinse or pressure wash after ClenzO2?

Under normal use, no. It is applied with a pump sprayer or soft wash system and left to work; rain finishes the job. On heavy staining a light rinse speeds things up, but it is designed to eliminate the scrubbing and pressure that damage wood and shingles.

Is ClenzO2 EPA Safer Choice?

ClenzO2 is listed in the EPA's Safer Choice program (as Clenz-O2), and its safety data sheet states it meets Safer Choice criteria for direct release, which covers products used outdoors that can reach soil and water.

Is it safe for plants and pets?

It contains no bleach, ammonia, acids, phosphates or dyes and will not harm plants, animals or children under normal use. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling concentrate, as with any cleaner.

How much area does a gallon cover?

Roughly 200–400 square feet per gallon. Porous, heavily stained wood lands at the low end; smoother, lightly soiled surfaces at the high end.

Do you sell ClenzO2 in bulk?

Yes. The ClenzO2 5-gallon bucket is the crew size, and for large projects we special-order ClenzO2 by the tote — generally 275 gallons. Call 503-403-6185 or email us for tote ordering instructions and lead time. We also build the ClenzO2 Max roof cleaning skid and Spray Pod for applying it at scale.
